SUMMARY:
Neurotic, sensitive, and eccentric. Fascinated by Earth and Earth culture, but often gets stuff wrong about it.
APPEARANCE
Pleakley is a slender, yellowish-green cyclops-like alien with three stout legs with two toes on each foot, a long neck with a prominent Adam's Apple, a wide mouth with two purple tongues, three elongated fingers on each hand, an egg-shaped head topped with a single small antenna that acts as an ear and nose, and a large, single eye in the middle of his face. His body is shaped kind of like a broomstick. He does not have bones and it shows in the way he moves. There are two darker green stripes on the back of his head.
On his own planet, Pleakley is seen as tall, fit, and conventionally attractive. He puts a lot of effort into his looks, and has a meticulous skincare routine.
When interacting with other aliens, he usually wears a blue uniform with golden buttons and epaulettes. However, when interacting with humans, she disguises herself as a human woman. (See the "Disguises" page for more information on that.)

SUMMARY
Pleakley is gentle and compassionate. His sensitive nature makes him the go-to for emotional support and delicate matters. However, Pleakley's sensitivity also makes him prone to tears in intense situations. He also has a tendency to freak out and panic at the smallest of problems.Pleakley has a passion for Earth and Earth culture, but often gets things horribly wrong. There's nothing he loves more than a day out and about, observing and interacting with humans- except for, perhaps, picking out a wig and dress to wear while doing so.

FAMILY
Biological Family
Pleakley's Mother. Mother.
Name unknown. Pleakley's relationship with his mother is strained, to say the least. While she just wants him to be happy, her idea of him being "happy" was him conforming to societal norms (get a socially acceptable job, marry a woman, wear men's clothing), which would make him unhappy. They've reconciled somewhat, but that doesn't undo several decades where his worst fear was disappointing her (to the point he had a breakdown about it), nor does it undo the fact that she still brings up his clothing choices and tells him to wear more masculine clothing every time they video call.
Pixley Pleakley. Sister.
Pleakley's sister. Incredibly successful, has a PhD and rules an entire medium-sized galaxy. She brags about this success as much as she can, much to the annoyance of her two siblings.
Bertley Pleakley. Brother.
Pleakley's brother, who was part of the same clutch with him. It was a 50/50 chance who would get which name, and Bertley is still salty over their mother's choice. He's surly and sulky, and doesn't have many goals in life- but he has a standard boring job on Plorgonar and is attempting to find a wife, which makes him more successful than Pleakley in the eyes of their mother.

While Lilo isn't actually Pleakley's niece, Pleakley still treats her like one. He's always there when she needs him, whether it's for emotional support or fashion support (one time, he sewed her a dress in under 10 minutes).

The two of them clash often, but Pleakley still cares about her.
Stitch.
"The little monster." Since Pleakley's the one who cleans the house, he's often exhausted and annoyed by the sheer amount of destruction Stitch causes. Stitch is part of their ohana, yeah, but could he at least calm down for a little bit? Please?
Belle and Glitch.
Two more experiments who also live in the Pelekai household. Pleakley is so tired of more experiments causing damage.
PRE-CANON
Wendy Pleakley was born on the planet of Plorgonar with his brother Bertley and sister Pixley. His father is currently not in the picture, having either died or left when Pleakley was young.
In highschool, he dated a girl named Melania, who was a completely different species.
He eventually ended up going off-planet to study Earth specifically, spending four years at the Galactic Academy. He was a four-time Priznolaplack Grand Champion player in college- although the sport comes from his home planet, it's fairly popular in the Milky Way Galaxy. He failed his original masters' thesis and had to try again.
Eventually he graduated, joining the United Galactic Federation and becoming their resident Earth Expert.

CANON
In 2002, due to him wishing to protect Earth's inhabitants, he was called upon to assist mad scientist Dr. Jumba Jookiba in tracking down Experiment 626, which had escaped to the planet Earth. He and Jumba were both fired and sentenced to exile on Earth by the Grand Councilwoman of the planet Turo, for failing to capture Experiment 626.
Eventually his exile was ended, and he would have been allowed to return to Plorgonar, but he chose to remain on Earth.
After three years on Earth, he was given a job at the Galactic Alliance Community College as a professor of Earth Studies, a job which he excitedly took. But the job was a supervisory position, not an actual teaching job, and he really missed his ohana (especially Jumba). So he quit the job and moved back to Earth.
Eventually his exile was ended, and he would have been allowed to return to Plorgonar, but he chose to remain on Earth.

Gender
In canon, Pleakley is said to be a man. A man who really likes wearing women's clothing and being seen as a woman by humans, and is self conscious about this. She always explains it away with "it's just a disguise!" even when it's clearly not, trying (and failing) to act like it's a ridiculous idea for it to be anything more than just a disguise.
In the episode Fibber, when Pleakley claims that she's only wearing women's clothes because they make a good disguise, the titular lie-detecting experiment beeps showing that that was a lie.
In the episode Nosy, the titular experiment repeatedly told some humans that Pleakley and Jumba were aliens, and Pleakley just tried to cover it up, not being particularly emotionally affected by it. But when Nosy told those humans that Pleakley was, quote, "not a woman," Pleakley ran into the house crying and didn't show up again for the entire rest of the episode.
All of that being said, I play Pleakley as an extremely closeted and in denial transfeminine person. Not sure whether genderfluid, bigender, or a standard binary trans woman, but either way Pleakley is a woman in some way and extremely in denial about it. To borrow a turn of phrase I read once, she's so far in the closet she's in Narnia.
At the current moment, Pleakley does use he/him pronouns when out of disguise.
